The Art of Coaching

What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is a focus on helping one navigate a transition, set a specific goal, or create some other kind of positive change in life, work, relationships, or well-being. I offer positive psychology coaching services focused on self-defined professional and/or personal goals. I employ best practices as well as proven tools and techniques from the field of coaching while drawing on the latest research in positive psychology, which is the study of what happy, successful people have in common.

It’s important to note that coaching is not therapy or psychological counseling. If you are working with a therapist, coaching may be complementary to that work. I encourage you to discuss our coaching relationship with your provider to determine if coaching is right for you.

What’s my approach?

Every person is on a journey to become the best version of themselves. Along the way, one builds strengths and encounters obstacles that can form weaknesses. Working with clients, we evaluate what your goals are and how we attain results. My style of coaching meets each client where they are at, using their personal strengths and goals we establish new paths for success to navigate moving forward. In each session, the client measures their growth by self assessing how their strengths moved them into short term actions that create positive changes.

Keeping to plan, one builds confidence and trust, small wins make the bigger goal attainable. We take a deeper dive by learning ways to quiet the inner critic voice, elevate the inner mentor and envision a path in line with a future, more evolved sense of self. Learning about the differing ways to look at fear can be pivotal in making space to leap toward goal achievement. Omitting blockers clears a pathway for fresh perspective. When we feel recharged it’s easier to stay open to new possibilities, living closer to our true selves.

With an established timeline chosen by the client, we discern which modalities are most effective for resonant results. My goal for each client is to create a path forward using personal strengths and modalities that can be applied to a variety of challenges for personal and professional results.
