Over the past few years, I have become more concerned about our society as many have let the chaos in our world define and direct them instead of individuals defining and directing themselves. I decided to dedicate my time to helping people see their strengths and live in a place where no challenge is too overwhelming and where redirection is not seen as an obstacle, it’s a gift.
At the age of eleven my mother lost a short and hard fought battle with breast cancer. She was the most positive, fun loving and faith filled person I knew. She was inclusive, warm, genuine, smart and best of all she lived life leaping from challenges, never hiding, seeking joy. Seeing and feeling the impact of her loss and how it would affect me and my five siblings with an indelible mark, I grew more curious about resilience, my strengths and how to navigate my own path forward to thrive. Her goodness is my benchmark.
I spent the early part of my career in marketing and sales. I was fortunate to pause and spend a lengthy period of time raising my three children. All along I felt a gnawing to learn and do something with impact to help others craving balance and happiness, despite challenges.
With this deep intention, I received my certification in positive psychology coaching from The Whole Being Institute; a program co-founded by Tal Ben-Shahar, former Harvard lecturer and author of “The Joy of Leadership” and Megan McDonough, CEO and author of “The Inspired Life; A Wholebeing Happiness Workbook”. The strength based method provides research, tools and modalities that have been scientifically proven to produce results.
My signature strengths are perspective, honesty, spirituality, kindness & hope. With this awareness, I have an easier time accepting life’s difficulties as lessons that provide value to creating better results.
We all have a story. It’s a gift to serve others through my work, building on what has already been done and creating new chapters of growth, action and purpose.
